Time for another page from the ABC's of #LolitaFashion colouring book! Today, the letter E is for ... #RougeAerieDesigns

#RougeAerieDesigns has also dabbled in jewellery making for #LolitaFashion! These chokers were designed by RAD then manufactured in a factory, but came back with significant QC issues. As a result, the entire run was reworked by hand in the RAD HQ and new styles added in the process.

A rich blue fantasy ensemble made from chiffon, shantung, and textured upholstery fabric. The dress utilises an A-line lolita fashion silhouette and length, with hankerchief hem chiffon in tiers from the waist, and an asymmetrical, high-low hankerchief overskirt in shantung. The bodice and cropped vest on top are heavily embroidered with gold thread and embellished with dragonscale smocking. The outfit is completed with a belt made of chains of pearls with gold frame embellishments, and blue and white crystals.

Let's talk about Carouskel today! This print was a for-fun design in Illustrator (lineart) and Photoshop (repeat and colours). It was finished in 2012, and eventually published to Spoonflower. These five dresses went to the Frill convention in Georgia! #lolitafashion #rougeaeriedesigns

All of the above dresses are now out in the wilds. A few have sold on LaceMarket over the years. Three sold at Frill, another handful sold on Etsy after the fact. There are also numerous dresses and skirts made from the fabric sold on Spoonflower by other sewists. #lolitafashion #rougeaeriedesigns

The Brown and Red colourway of Carouskel is displayed on a dressform in a coordinate with items from Necrosarium, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, and Dear Celine. The dress itself is trimmed with ivory lace and a bright gold chiffon hem ruffle.

The Purple colourway of Carouskel is displayed in a coordinate with items from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright. A strand of pearls has been added as an accent to the blouse collar, to mirror the pink accents and pearls in the print. The dress is trimmed in off-white lace and a purple chiffon hem ruffle.
