Just arrived last night! “Star Pilots” by @chriskempshall.bsky.social and my @goldsborobooks.bsky.social edition of “Reign of the Empire: Edge of the Abyss” by @rebeccaroanhorse.bsky.social. As an avid fan of Star Wars novels, it’s like an early Christmas. Carving out time this week to dive in.

Coming to LA for Star Wars Celebration? Don’t skip Mosh Eisley! Always feels more like a reunion of great friends, but with fun music and awesome cosplay. Never been? Come! It’ll be fun. Hope to see you there!

A promo poster for Mosh Eisley, a Star Wars themed party mashed up with emo and pop-punk, that will take place in Los Angeles in April during Star Wars Celebration.

First scene that scared me was the boy getting abducted in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (one of my all time favorite movies). But the first movie that really scared me was Stephen King’s “Sometimes They Come Back”. Not at all scary now, and doesn’t hold up, but freaked me out as a kid.

I totally know that feeling! Growing up, I was almost exclusively baseball and basketball (Dodgers and Lakers). I find myself watching more and more as I get older. Hockey more so than I anticipated over the past decade.

Aside from spooky season… it’s also that time of year where all my teams are playing at the same time and all I wanna do is stay in and toggle the TV between sports and horror movies.

Four photos featuring the LA Rams, the LA Dodgers, the Anaheim Ducks, and Aston Villa.

Apparently, there’s a massive annual event called “Salmon Days” in the town I moved to. It’s like a state fair spread out through the town where thousands of people drive out to celebrate the salmon returning. Checking it out today.

Picture of me grabbing breakfast in my Dodgers hat, flannel shirt, and a t-shirt that says “Return of the Sockeye” which is meant to be a pun on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Completely agree. I found his energy and brand of wit/comedy super engaging. Felt like they could bring along a new generation of viewers, but not in a jarring way. It felt like a natural progression.

Agree to every point for every host. And I also love knowing that I don’t have to choose.

If they didn’t want LA Rams fans in this joint, then don’t open a spot called “Ram” in Seahawks territory.

I had a hunch this might be the case, but hey… we got THREE seasons of a story we thought ended years ago on Netflix. I’ve loved it so far, I can’t wait to see how they wrap it up, and I hope a few characters are peppered throughout the MCU afterwards.

Such sad news to wake up to this morning. Chad and NFG have been such a mainstay in my life over the past 25 years. RIP

To celebrate winning the NL West, I’m enjoying Alex Vesia’s Double Play Char and being thoroughly amused by how many people up here in Seattle have zero clue who Alex Vesia is.

Off to the theater to see MST3K : The Rifftrax Experiments! The Gizmoplex shirt felt appropriate.

Couldn’t agree more! And to a greater extent, that’s what I love about Star Wars books in general… the medium allows time for richer backstory and the space to expand on character development.

I meal prep and bring a sufficient amount of food with me to work every single day. But… I respond like a starved depression-era child when anyone brings free food into the office. And people notice! Oh, do they notice.

Ha, it’s hard to express just how bad Arte Moreno is. Not a Kroenke fan at all… but by comparison, it actually feels like an improvement.
