Hello Dave and welcome. Sober 6 years here, but just about to go through the steps again with my sponsor as I need a reset. We can walk that path together! Congrats on your amazing sober time!

My Dad painted that many years ago and the picture hangs on their wall still…

What would you say to someone devastated by alcohol dependency who was contemplating giving up (practicalities aside), how would you show them the light on the other side? #SoberSky #RecoveryPosse

I think I thought that once I stopped drinking that would be all the change I needed. Six years and I’m starting to understand that was just the start. I wonder if I’ve changed at all in fact. Thanks for sharing with me.

Thank you for your honesty. I trying to have faith in other people and to play a long game… something I am NOT good at. I want it now, always. And when I get it I want it bigger and better! Sigh. 😮‍💨

Hey. Yes, such big change. I forget how big. That’s why helping others is so important, to remember I guess. That and not to focus on me, me, me…. Glad you’re here. Thanks for sharing with me. X

Change. I’m sceptical that I can change, no matter what I do. Tell me your change stories, I need to hear them today. #SoberSky #RecoverPosse #Recovery

Currently £480 for 1.5 tonnes (including taxes) from our local supplier. Seasoned, kiln dried hardwood. So about $620

Completely. Redundancy had a devastating impact on my partner’s sense of worth when it happened to them. It’s about more than financial security, though that is significant, it’s also about identity, a sense of purpose, it’s about passion & connection to people who share your drive to do the work.

The Trump regime’s secret police continue to kidnap people across the US. Here they kidnapped a PHD Student Rumeysa Ozturk in broad daylight for publishing an article last year, critical of Israel’s war crimes in Gaza. People across the US have reportedly been tortured by the regime.

Sam and I sat and had coffee (he had elderflower) on the beach before school, we walked down those steps to the beach. The sea was like a pond.
