Just one pair after the other. I challenged myself last year that instead of doom scrolling I’d knit every time I wanted to pick up my phone. And I’d knit a pair of socks a month. I was going to do the same for 2026, then in April I heard of “26 pairs in 2026” Knit 2AAT on 2 sets of circs.

It’s only 12 sock blockers, I only have one sock from each pair on a blocker. I’ve surprisingly found quite a few of them at the thrift store, always in an odd space because they don’t know what they are.

No. 😿 Apparently there were better viewing opportunities about an hour before the alert came. Sub storms. (Venturesky said my location was at 20% an hour prior to the alert. 0% chance of aurora viewing when the alert came in.) I need to be more vigilant during active solar periods.

Yes, because of security. Livenation is worse than the TSA. Sometimes I’ve had no issue, other times I’ve had to bring my knitting back to the car. I take no chances any longer. I didn’t spend a good portion of my 20s seeing the Grateful Dead & not learn how to smuggle things into shows.

It was hot here too. And frankly I knit everywhere I go. So every day is knit in public day. It needs to be more normalized here so I didn’t have to devise ways to sneak my knitting in to music venues (looking squarely at YOU live nation!)
