Yo, I'm heading up a brand-new community project. 👥 We write code by hand. 🤚🏽⌨️ It's a growing opt-in directory of software developers who write code by hand. When you hear someone tell you “nobody does that” you can point to this and say “well these folks […] [Original post on indieweb.social]

A page style layout with the following:

We write code by hand.

We use Natural Intelligence to build software libraries and applications in production today. Some of them you may be using right now.

There are people who say "nobody authors code by hand any longer." We are here to say that's incorrect. Because we do it. All the time.

If you write code by hand, add your name to this list!

@normalniklas Vimla sedan 2021:ish.

Pasting a huge AI generated explanation to a problem in an issue or pull-request is nothing but RUDE. Don't do it. You look stupid and the receivers of that feel insulted. We are humans. We communicate like humans. Fine, use the tools you like, but don't insult us.

It's been a few days and the exporter is working perfectly. I haven't really tooted about the source code as there are still some bits I want to add. It will be available for anyone who wants it in case they too happen to have an ancient telldus sensor […] [Original post on social.shangtai.net]

Happy Web Freedom Day to those who celebrate (i.e. everyone who uses the fediverse): “Just over a week after Mosaic 1.0 was released, CERN gifted the Web to the world as open source software. As of 30 April 1993, the still relatively new Internet communications platform was suddenly free for […]
