GET RID OF THE FUCKING GUNS OH MY GOD!!!!!!

Living in the US supports these people a lot more than I want to. That being said, I'm glad I'm not on Xitter (pronounced "shitter") anymore.

for the environment. I will say, I miss the days when AI slop was mostly Obama, Trump, and Biden playing Wii Sports. It was AI slop, but it was CLEVER AI slop.

This is also my personal boundary with it. I ask Google questions about things that would be hard to find otherwise, but I'm never going to use it to generate images. Art is art, and it's about the process and not just the end product. Plus apparently image generation is orders of magnitude worse

Late to the party, but I remember reading an edition of the Old Farmer's Almanac (whose weather forecasts, by the way, are more or less random chance). There was a segment of maybe 2-3 pages dedicated to him. Sounds like a great guy who persevered even though he must've been in serious pain.

No need to apologize. I just wish more people from my country actually knew about why that is. Or really anything about Canada's cultural differences from the US. But seriously, have a wonderful feast tomorrow.

So tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to anyone reading this from Canada. Me saying that is probably seen (understandably) as an empty gesture, but I hope you're able to spend it with the people you love, eating delicious food.

You know what's so satisfying? Elon Musk might have an unfathomable amount of wealth, and unfathomably more power than he should. But what he really wants is to be cool, and he'll never be cool.

As cartoonishly evil as our overlords are, we're pretty lucky that they can also be cartoonishly incompetent at times.

Yeah, maybe a few decades ago wasn't the utopia many people (not all of them Trump supporters!) claim it was.

Holy shit, it's almost 90 degrees in Minneapolis? How the hell did I not know that?* *There's an obvious reason, and I don't think you need me to tell you what it is.

I just checked this neighborhood out on Google Maps. It's pretty impressive that you made it look so isolated in those photos (and that it was designed in a way that it feels that way!) Yes, I know Copenhagen is generally a pretty peaceful city, but knowing it's so close to major roads is amazing.

I guess CBS isn't the only channel to capitulate. The "liberal media" is a myth.

www.epicfurious.com/epicfurious/ It's a satirical anti-Trump arcade game in the style of a '90s RPG. The humor is absolutely unhinged. The version I shared screenshots from is the sequel; you should play the original first.

If you're angrier at Canadians for boycotting our products than our fellow citizens for electing the man who's prompting them to do so, you're part of the problem.

That's pretty creepy. I'm sorry that happened to you.

I feel like so many people (not all of them reactionary right-wingers) use nostalgia as a coping mechanism these days. There's a song I've been listening to a lot lately that argues against this. It's called "Good Times \ End Times" by Goose.

If so, congrats! Even with as much walking as you probably did, it's an impressive feat.

People are freaking out because Collins basically never led polls in 2020, yet won comfortably. Just because she outran her polls in 2020 doesn't mean she will in 2026, but ME-SEN 2020 is hardly the only egregious polling miss in recent cycles.

This actually reminds me of the first few weeks after Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Trump wanted to make Charlie Kirk a martyr, but also create as much chaos as possible. Turns out the faster you make the news cycle move, the sooner people forget they're supposed to care about Charlie Kirk. Huh.

Trump wants to punish media outlets who sometimes disagree with him, but he also wants everyone to pay attention to him. Pick one, Donnie.

Apparently PG-13 films are allowed one uncensored F-bomb, so if this one's R-rated, there should be multiple.

May I remind everyone that there is currently NO cure for rabies. May I also remind everyone there is absolutely NO scientific proof connecting ANY vaccine that we produce today with autism. This is true regarding vaccination in both humans AND in dogs. Vaccinate your pets please.

Worries about vaccination rates in dogs
As rabies seems to be spreading more in wildlife, veterinarians are especially worried about vaccine hesitancy spreading among pet owners, a dangerous trend that could lead to more dogs - and their owners
- becoming infected. A 2023 study published in the journal Vaccine found in nationally representative
sample of Americans that nearly 40% believed canine vaccines were unsafe and 37% believed that vaccines could lead their dogs to develop cognitive issues, such as autism.

Holy hell, I never really thought of coastal California as getting that hot, but I guess that's climate change for you. That's horrible, and what's possibly even more horrible is that until seeing this post, I didn't know the humidity or fire were happening in Los Angeles.

I've heard that Hubinger is staying on to be the "resistance" within Anthropic. Reading this post again, that claim sounds highly suspect, because he wouldn't be publicly claiming Anthropic was doing what they could (to mitigate risk) if he intends to resist from within.
