I’m safe, I have power, I’ve spent 13 hours helping clean up storm damage and make my brother’s house safe again, and I‘m heart sick to see how many trees we’ve lost here. The last reading from the local weather station was 101 mph then it broke. I never want to see that again.

Opening night first showing of Fellowship of the Ring, and the silence of the whole theatre before the lights went out. They’d oversold tickets and people were sitting in the aisle and up the stairway and not a single person moved.

Soul Music has the most puns in it, I think. If you’ve got any interest in the history of rock and pop music, it’s a gem. And Monstrous Regiment which is a war story and a story about religion and gender at the same time as being very funny.
