The best part of having all my laptops be Linux? They're all nicely set up for ssh out of the box so when I leave my Laptop downstairs I can just ssh in and tell it to turn off. Lol

Uhhh... I might need to accelerate some stuff because I have been informed: this is the first time since my dad bought this house, 25 years ago, that he won't be able to pay the bills for the house. With the insane price increases over this year, it's become impossible to keep up with bills.

Just finished my Dreamcast Day Stream! I love Sonic Adventure! It was a great stream! Here's the rough times, keeping in mind this includes food & breaks & and a DC where the stream shut down for an hour, but I started at 11:20AM and finished 1:35AM for a total of 14 hr and 15 min!

We love getting sick right after starting a big project! Dreamcast Day 2 got canceled because I had a fever yesterday and was barely able to get out of bed. Just ate breakfast and feeling like 50% better. We're probably back for Day 3 after noon. Going to 💤 more.

Good second day of Dreamcast month. Yesterday was more setup and PSO, but today we played lots of games! Played Bomberman Online(offline lol), Gauntlet Legends, tried the weird Rockstar tank game Wild Metal, and actually BEAT Frogger 2 Swampy's Revenge start to finish! More to come tomorrow!

I really wish I could run old android APKs in an emulator, but SO MANY of them relied on an always online thing. I just remembered a game I played on mobile and was actually having a good time with but I went to look and it's defunct now, and with no online servers... the APK I found is useless.

Feeling better today, I got sick over the weekend and was absolutely dead. I was awake for what felt like five hours the entire weekend. Any unfortunate problem with getting sick and not doing anything is now it's Monday and I take it step back and everything is huge mess.

Recent Linux struggles. I have a really bad laptop that I installed Mint and XFCE on. I only use it to play a 10-hour rain mp3 on repeat. Recently, however, after leaving it for a day or two, it randomly breaks and locks up, so I have to hard force a restart the whole thing.

Time for brainstorming a new thing since my other project is looking DOA. There's a few options to continue that but they're all... rough haha. The takeaway is I need to find something I can do that I can do most of the work myself, and not need outside help with art/music/etc.

It's been mentally tough dealing with and responding to feedback but most of it's fair, so far I think it's just the tutorial doesn't do a good job of explaining how to play well. People are still confused coming out of the tutorial confused and there's no other systems to help people who are lost.

Been using my Steam Deck in desktop mode while docked, and its wild how good its been compared to my full i9-9900 and RTX 2070 PC. Its obviously not the same but it comes very close considering my PC was $1400 in 2017 and I only paid $700 for the launch Steam Deck(not OLED, 1TB)

Fedora Media Writer has been awesome, I used to use Balena Etcher, but because FMW will work with any iso, it's been awesome for making USBs for Arch/CachyOS/Mint/Ubuntu etc. I've been messing with different Linux distros to see their defaults and it's been a great tool.

I'm still trying really hard to get to the level where my games are good enough to sell but the resources for the middle part of game dev is MIA. Theres plenty of "my first game" and "research paper on AAA rendering techniques" but no "how to architect your entity system so you can do cutscenss ez"
