25 years.🥺 most years i read tom junod's falling man out of respect/grief for the victims. my memories of the day are mixed with sadness/anger for what our govt did after, parts which i know too well. this is well known but worth remembering, i think

If you haven't read this yet, then please do. It's been making the rounds for good reasons (& not just because who wrote it). It's refreshing to hear 'the lie' so clearly articulated. This lie pervades society. It's certainly well established in much of academia. Speak its name.

The excerpts were from a report I had written, so it was deliberately ‘formal’ but, also deliberately, not overbearingly so. Basically they styleni was choosing to write in for that context, was deemed to be how AI would wrote. It was very annoying.

I tried out that software a wee while ago to see how it worked and it consistently told me that the excerpts I gave it, from my own actual writing, was 💯 AI. So, 🤷‍♀️

Adding to your rightful outRAGE that it’s not just about being able to go for a wee, of course. This makes it (deliberately?) much more difficult for trans people to go anywhere in public. For practical reasons and cos now - for the haters - it looks like EHRC has ‘validated’ that they aren’t ‘real’
