I had kale in grocery order because I wanted to try out using it in lentil soul. it was like barely $2. I was not expecting a bag of kale as big as my dog for that much.... But, hey, food for snails at least! I'll maybe get a vid of them nomming on it soon.

Sneaking in a little late for #WorldElephantDay but it gave me a reason to draw myself haha!

Drawing of my elephant character laying back into a pillow wearing an open shirt and a small pair of shorts, as he gingerly holds his drawing stylus and smiles

honestly people put up so many imaginary walls between them and their idea of what a person must be like to make horny content and if you don't do that you quickly realize that people can have the craziest kinks and just be like, normal friendly people

I wouldn't worry about being "unfair", you alone can't make swathes of people go & support other artists. Burnout, lack of success, isolation, and how quick things just ... Happen on the internet these days... I'm not surprised how many people give up or vanish. It hurts, but...makes sense.

Snolfy 🐌 @snolfy.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

Maybe I'm a pessimist but as the years have gone on, routes to success have become more niche or tied to getting lucky independent of skill level. Posting to an audience of no one or an audience that doesn't grow kills some artists from the inside and make them give up or close up.

Snolfy 🐌 @snolfy.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

Business inquiries are full of spam and bots and it's harder to network with other artists - maybe because of how increasingly hard it is to trust anyone. Opportunities have slipped and gone, respect to artists has dwindled, and the political world has become more hostile to certain ones, etc...

I only have MY job because of connections. I'm a nobody on the internet despite some of (on my other account) my artwork being well known in specific fandoms. Even then, growth comes from appealing to fandoms -- if you don't have a style that stands out or conforms to whats popular.

Snolfy 🐌 @snolfy.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

In my experience, It's only gotten harder to grow. Esp with original content unless you sell your daily life and soul to apps and social media. Landing art jobs have gotten harder and/or lean even harder on having connections or already being successful online. Aside from having a degree (i dont)

Snolfy 🐌 @snolfy.bsky.social · 12/08/2025

As I work on these and worry if they'll actually sell or not I wonder if I should lean more on my strength and do more, like, mutant-y, monstery or body horror-esc adopts? Not sure how popular those are. I've been really disconnected from online spaces for yearsss now🫣

Serious question sortaaa For shark anthros, is there a general consensus on giving them hair - like the whole shebang. Hairstyles, body hair, armpit hair, and pubes included...? Like I know I personally dont like givin them those elf ear things but never thought abt hair/fur opinions much 🤔

conveniently ratio'd for either legal or half letter size, so you conveniently can just print it out on any printer if you like, whose going to stop you (not me)
