iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

D4 is very much designed in the vein of OG expansions (or even more accurately like MMO expansions like WoW!) But like, Reaper of Souls was very much a whole lot more than just DLC.

I think it's because "DLC" and "Expansion Pack" have become conflated(they are IMO completely different things, even if DLC and Expacks are both downloadable content lmao)

lord of the rings is so cool because there’s elves and dwarves and hobbits and a sense of utter apocalypse that feels like being beaten with a blunt object to read these days and also wizards too

I've seen more than a few on bsky, a TON on twitter, and a few folks in a number of art discords I'm in have been spamming it so they're blocked and/or ignored lol But my block and mute lists have kind of ballooned over the past week.

disingenuous and utterly misleading reporting by RPS here: Discord did not suffer any kind of breach this is a completely-unaffiliated-with-Discord service

Gaming chat app Discord has suffered another user data breach, with a suspected 1 million email addresses stolen alongside (potentially many more) user IDs and IP addresses. While Discord was not targeted directly, third party security service Double Counter have reported a "deliberate, multi-stage attack" wherein hackers spent nearly six hours poking around their infrastructure before the vulnerability was closed.

Double Counter essentially acts as a bouncer bot for Discord servers, promising to detect and block unsanctioned alt accounts and prevent hostile 'raids' by large groups of malicious users. While its efficacy in that mission is debated by Discord users, and the service has previously been accused of selling user data for revenue, the fact is that Double Counter can collect and store personal info of the users that visit its 'protected' servers. Info that, now, has been partly or entirely nicked by Internet miscreants.

By Double Counter’s own estimates, around 1 million user email addresses have been affected, with databases of Discord IDs, usernames, IP addresses, and even location info for up to 28 million users also "partly" copied by the hackers. Security breach trackers Have I Been Pwned further report that 275,000 of the pinched emails and usernames have since been posted publicly.

Started as a little study and became another one of the 'Secret Society of Unpractical Headpieces in Space' series (that still does not exist) 🪐

Illustration by Eleonor Piteira showing a black woman with an elaborate golden headpiece. Her hair is curly and long, she's wearing a dress, and gold and blue make up on her eyes. She is framed by a circle and behind her there is a space view with a star and small planets.

I wish dune awakening had a peer to peer connection option. I don't have the spare hardware to setup a private server for two people on a local network but it would be nice to be able to duo 'offline' with my wife
