Thanks @bejug.bsky.social for organizing and @oniryx.be for hosting us in your beautiful garden. It's been a lot of fun and great to exchange with the community.

The release train of April continues on the Spring team. Today we're releasing Spring Framework 6.2.6, 6.1.19, and 7.0.0-M4. Reminder that our short-term schedule is available on spring.io/projects#rel... - For planning, check the milestones page on GitHub.

Configuring Checkstyle on an old project that I am trying to standardize. With all rules enabled, this doesn't look great. Colleague (let's call them AW): "There are five files with no violations. Get that fixed ASAP"
screenshot of the 2612 Checkstyle violations on 172 files, 167 having violations.

Well done @github.com, "when is X.Y.Z due?" should hopefully disappear from our issue tracker.

Using Spring Boot with Testcontainers? We've improved support so that your test setup is more lean. `@AutoConfigureTestDatabase` now detects containers and will automatically use that! If you need to revert to the old behavior, set `replace=Replace.AUTO_CONFIGURED)` on the annotation.

Using Testcontainers and upgrading to Spring Boot 3.4? If you were injecting a DynamicPropertyRegistry in a bean method, please migrate that to DynamicPropertyRegistrar. More details in the release notes: buff.ly/49hD3R2

Another thing that can trip you when upgrading to Spring Boot 3.4. For a full list, please review the release notes: buff.ly/3ZyjiBq Graceful shutdown of the embedded web server is now enabled by default. We believe that this is a better default but you can restore the previous behaviour:

Now we've covered some of the new features of Spring Boot 3.4, let's look at what can trip you when upgrading. For a full list, please review the release notes buff.ly/3ZyjiBq We no longer provide dependency management for OkHttp. If you're still using it, you will need to tune your build

Spring Boot 3.4 is available, with plenty of new features! The scheduled tasks actuator endpoint now exposes additional metadata for each task, such as next scheduled execution time, last execution time, status and exception. See also the documentation: buff.ly/4fRIfNM #spring @spring.io

Spring Boot 3.4 is available, with plenty of new features! Fine-grained access control for actuator endpoints. The former enabled property has been extended to not only control whether the endpoint is available but also if write operations are permitted. docs.spring.io/spring-boot/...
