When and if that paycheck arrives, it's going to instantly vanish in a cloud of pending bills and we are back on square one. Comics will break your heart, kid.

Narrator: He didn't have enough savings, though...

Kind of nuts that I'm expected to have enough savings to afford working on a project for 3 months full time, and then for an extra couple of months (and counting) until I get paid.

I don't know, Ed Sheeran, but if Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon was tweeting his support for something I've done, I would just pack and turn off the lights. You would never hear of me ever again.

Not a commission, btw, so if anybody is interested, knock! (I keep forgetting I can offer my drawings for sale, I'm a pro, I promise!)

It's just lazy journalism/review. "Haha comics are for kids, here you can maim people! Look at all that blood!" Ok, edgelord, talk to the void, because I'm out.

First of all, it's a different medium. Second, without the comic book, there wouldn't be a game, so a bit of respect would go a long way. And third... What comic book are they comparing it to? Weapon X? 90s Wolverine? Krakoa era? Miller's Japan era? Any of the hundreds of alternate realities?

Héctor Barros 🏳️‍🌈 (he/him) @snibbits.eurosky.social · 10/09/2026

Third review of the Wolverine game I come across that feels the need to mock the original material in an effort to convey how very serious this game is and... if you think you have to do that, you've already lost in my eyes. But also, a game cannot "improve" the comic book. It is just impossible

What if I started working on all those blank covers I've been hoarding over the years, uh? How about that?

Héctor Barros 🏳️‍🌈 (he/him) @snibbits.eurosky.social · 10/09/2026

If all the covers are in black and gold, they can even remarket them to young men

I mean... Marvel igual tiene algo que decirnos al respecto :3

Ah thanks Orlando :) I'm so tempted to go back and "fix" some of them I had to rush...

Happy Letterer Appreciation Day! If you've worked in comics you know there's a special magic to seeing the page fully lettered, it truly feels like the story, the lines, the colours finally "become" a comic book page. Here's @letteringbear.bsky.social work in one of my favourite Liebestrasse pages

Page of graphic novel Liebestrasse, Story by Greg Lockard, Lineart by Tim Fish, Colours by me and Letters by Lucas Gattoni

I don't know if I've missed my window (I'm terrible at networking) but I'm very interested in doing cover work, and I'm very much available! Here's my portfolio www.tumblr.com/h-b-portfolio

Ah it's coming out this week! This story has so much heart, and I had so much fun colouring Naomi's lineart again after TOPLOCC #14. Thanks galore to Mark, Naomi, Aditya and specially Greg for bringing me on board!

This artbook by @miguelrobledo.bsky.social goes with me wherever I go, alongside artbooks from other greats (Adam Hughes, Charest, Coipel, Wendling, etc). It has taught me a lot about character design and line value/weight/economy.

I will not name them, that's not the point and, besides, honestly don't think their attitude and grievances were unique to them. Nor was their opinion on fans. Find your people, hold on to the good ones, and take care of each other. Make comics. And be nice.
