Unlettered // Devil's Bowl (2026, independent) LIYL Lungfish, Polvo, Unwound, plus Knowlton's other projects Gapeseed & Poem Rocket, vibes of Shannon Wright at times like the track "Saudade" with vocalist Kelly Grimm, and I hear echoes of Bailterspace & Spray Paint in the production #postpunk #music

me too, twice on the last and final tour (I have some awesome videos if you care to see/hear). I've been a fan for a long, long time. Carl signed and handed over his first album's guitar to me (I supported a kickstarter for a tour van) and signed it Take Care. May 26, 2018.

as a newbie, I missed the detail of how many SF rounds there will be and how titles get put into each round. Is it relative to how they were voted in each 5-year span rounds earlier?? Just curious. Thanks for all you do! At some point I'd love to see the spreadsheet/tabs for this! (google sheet?)

110

Snappstare @snappstare.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

good lookin' out on the reminder! I missed a few rounds of the debut albums deep dive. 1st time I've participated in Richard's polls. I wish I could still vote for #5DebutAlbumsSF1 to place my number one pick (Surfer Rosa was a breakthrough, most influential on me). Looking forward to see the rest.

Snappstare @snappstare.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

I thought (or assumed) there were only two semifinal rounds, thanks for letting me know. ✌🏻

It's inglorious not to see Pod by The Breeders in the SF ballots. Kim Deal solo made it, yet I'm going with: 1 Laurie Anderson 2 Sparklehorse 3 John Prine 4 The B-52s 5 JAMC #5DebutAlbumsSF2 @richards7370.bsky.social ~HMs: The Modern Lovers Syd Barrett PJ Harvey Kim Deal Grandaddy
