I understand the idea that popular characters sell cards, but I would imagine even more that "good cards" sell cards. Making the cards desirable makes the character desirable.

I appreciate the engagement! Don't apologize. I'm more okay with some dupes than you are. (I'm fine if some dupes are advertising movies, or different costumes/titles characters have.) I agree w/ you in that I wish SD could measure that people want good cards more than recognizable characters

Who are your Marvel Snap Most Wanted at the moment? Let me know here! (And let me know if you're interested in me bringing back the old Snap.Fan poll in some capacity!)

Mephisto, a classic leader on the Marvel Snap Most Wanted list.

So how are we feeling about all these duplicate characters? There's an argument to be made that repeats of old favorites will entice people to play. But the counter argument for new C-list characters is that we all now love Mother Askani and Ozymandias.

The Most Wanted additions from the last few months range from mutants like Archangel and Caliban, to spider-foes Tombstone and J. Jonah Jameson.

It's been about 6 months since the final poll, and in that time we've seen some graduates from the list, and quite a few characters getting their second or even third diploma... (Lookin' at you Wolverine, and soon Psylocke.)

If you could pick any character to counter energy generation, who would you pick?

Franklin Richards consistently pops up on the Top 20 Most Wanted list. Could he be a meta breaker if he takes extra energy generated and turns into equal cost valued card creation in other locations?

Rick Jones could be like Bruce Banner, but transform into A-Bomb if a certain amount of extra energy is generated by the opponent.

We already have two examples of Summers brothers caring about energy count. What if Vulcan inflicted negative power on cards any time extra energy was generated?

Zzzax is a being made of pure energy. He can both absorb and discharge electricity. Perhaps he can absorb extra energy gained by your opponent and then you can activate and use it yourself later in the game?

With Star-Lord, Master of the Sun taking a hit, I wanted to explore what characters could appear in Marvel Snap and thematically act as a counter to "extra energy" in general.

Zzax, Vulcan, A-Bomb and Franklin Richards
