i have terminal video game graphics brain :)

setting these upscalers to "performance" for example will run your game at somewhere around half of ur display resolution but then use fancy computer tech to make it look as close as possible to what ur display is actually outputting, with AA built in, and it will usually run smoother too.

some games now put upscaling models alongside AA so that's where you get your fancy new FSR, XeSS, and DLSS letters. these are primarily meant to make ur game run better but they also replace anti-aliasing both at lower and higher resolutions and at a low performance cost. DLSS looks the best imo.

generally ur looking at: FXAA - old and low quality but very lightweight TAA/TXAA/usually anything w a "T" - newer tech, lightweight, smooth, but can look blurry and add ghosting SMAA/MSAA - heavier on performance but generally looks good and sharp (there are somehow others but they are rarer)

and oh my god if nothing else I just need everyone to look up footage of this game and pay attention to the crazy shit they're doing with the weapon animations in this game. your primary weapon is an ever-changing metal rod that clones itself and vibrates out of existence at a whim. it's so awesome

ill admit I've seen a couple people point out that this is basically a new inFAMOUS game and the moment I heard that I was like. OH. and everything started to come into focus for me. thank you remedy for everything I ever dreamed of.

dylan is growing on me and I think my initial trepidation about Jesse not being the protagonist is at least somewhat made up by the fact that she so overtly haunts the entire narrative and also still has a pretty large presence in the game so far! which is kinda best case scenario!

control resonant so far is awesome and I'm really enjoying it. though the combat hasn't fuulllyyy clicked with me. I think I'm waiting on maybe another ability or two or a different weapon type to really rein it in, cause as it stands its something I find myself subconsciously trying to avoid

Oh also important to note this is recommended ONLY for recordings, streams should stick with CBR!!!

CQP is essentially like VBR but better, i'd recommend turning that on and setting it to like 20 to start with and see how that treats ya. just remember bigger number = less bits + smaller file size and you should be able to adjust from there to ur taste!

it's tru it's tru. do you record with a constant bitrate or have you switched to Constant QP? if not id recommend giving it a try, it makes a bigggg difference for percieved recording quality!
