I’ve been trying since Aug 11th to get my ins case manager to coordinate coverage & ordering for dressings I *need* for port access that keep getting denied. *MONTHS* of trying. 30+ phone calls. Finally they tell me “we can’t get those, but we found something comparable”. I am skeptical.

I don’t get any fun “I Voted” stickers this way, but with how inaccessible my town office is & how shitty my health is, I’ve been voting like this every election since I came of age (except my very first, which I did in person at uni & nearly passed out in line 🤪) Have you voted yet? 🗳️ (*Read ALT)

A cropped photo of an official election mail envelope that says “authorized by the U. S. Postal Service” and “official absentee balloting material- First-Class Mail” with Cas’s hand obscuring the return address and all but “Town” on the To: section. Their hand is also obscured but by the cuff of their slate gray sweatshirt

*bonus note: because of the current admin and the issues within the usps surrounding mail-in ballots, Cas will be dropping the ballot off at the roadside drop box with their caregiver vs trusting the mail to actually deliver them on time for the count. Normally they would mail it back and feel confident it would get there, especially with how seriously ballots were treated when they worked for the USPS. Do with that information what you will, make sure your vote counts.

Happy release day to #MonsterRomance author @emilyantoinette.bsky.social — who always commissions the most badass & beautiful art for her books 😍 Shifted Desire is definitely her spiciest book yet, and the taboo tropes are delicious 😋 (Artists: Naila (?), Emma Bovel, JustDuart, and Phantom_Dame)

Samantha and Nathan in their human forms, Nathan standing behind Sam with his hand on her waist in a black and white suit, with Sam leaning back against him in a flowy white shirt with her pink lace bra showing

Samantha and Nathan in their human forms, Nathan’s hand partially shifted showing his claws as he holds Samantha’s head to make her look him in the eye. They’re in their work outfits and the background is a moody red; there’s also a tag with the art reveal credit to Emma Bovel

Samantha in her human form on one side of the door and Nathan on the other side in his werewolf form, both of them looking forlorn

🫠 it’s seriously trying to take me out, I almost went to the ER at 4am (which if you know chronically ill people, that’s saying something). I’m probably not going to be able to avoid another surgery at this rate 😩 I wish they had just listened and taken it all out when I asked.

Seeing AI “illustrated” children’s books in the NetGalley read now section guts me. You’d think they’d have standards 🫠

Brought my laptop to hydration today so I could update my NetGalley bio and maybe do some fic tippies since I’m here for a few hours. My brain is unfortunately nooot there because I am very very ‘eepy, so tippies prob aren’t happening. Bio is done tho!

A cut off shot of a MacBook Pro (on my lap, criss cross applesauce) with the cord, my headphones, and the IV pump, pole, and saline bag showing. Currently Reading (ARC edition) ✨ Shifted Desire ✨ by Emily Antoinette I have been dying for 🐺 Nathan’s story since he was first introduced back in Maneater 😍 this #MonsterRomance promises taboo & complicated (and is already delivering!) IG Crosspost~ www.instagram.com/p/DeFM4ImONOT/

A screenshot of the linked post to Snap’s Instagram, featuring a book promo graphic from Emily Antoinette’s team. In the center is an eReader with the book cover on it (a white haired succubus with her leg wrapped around a dark skinned werewolf man in his human form, in an office setting), there are two chibi stickers of their monster forms on the upper and lower corners, and along the bottom says “I’m reading my ARC”. At the top of the post is Snap’s handle and a line that reads “Kylie Minogue • Taboo” indicating that song playing

I have been dying for Nathan’s story since he was first introduced back in Shane & Elle’s book, and I knew from Emily’s teasing that it would be taboo and complicated… and lemme tell ya, I’m only about 20% as I’m typing this and hoo boy is it ever 😍 Not only is their situation complicated, but the characters themselves?? I’ve never had such conflicting feelings about one of Emily’s FMCs before. Sam is a whole different breed! Nathan is my favorite flavor of self-flagellating non-human, too. I’m so hooked!!

Ten years after Mineral Cup began, the mineral that began it all, quartz, is into the semi finals. Quartz is the most common SiO2 polymorph, but there are 8 other known polymorphs of SiO2 (cristobalite, tridymite, coesite, lechatelierite, moganite, seifertite, stishovite and xiexiandeite).
