Any other Encounter Party fans still out there hoping for a Season 2? I tore through all 22 episodes (and then marathoned the podcast!), and cannot believe we only got one season for tv. The cast, storytelling, and format were fantastic—and the creators have said they’d love to make more.

I bought the tools needed to can/preserve food a while back. It took until tonight for me to make my first jam. Hopefully I did it right and won't kill anyone with botulism. I made a little too much and mixed a few spoonfuls into some plain yogurt. It was amazing.

Deep breath. It’s Week 3, the last week of session 1 of Pottery Summer camp. Session 2, and another 3 weeks immediately follows. IMO - School Teachers do not make enough money or get enough respect. I don’t know how they do this for the school year.

Retaking a long since expired CPR and First Aid certification course. There are knowledge assessments. I apparently remember how to do the actual CPR, but don’t know how to do any of the other protocols properly… On my way to fixing that. Although I’d argue I know how to do the important part.

The microburst storm that went through yesterday is having lasting impact in our immediate area. Fortunately we are unscathed aside from a few minor power blinks which take the internet with it, briefly. Many others are not so fortunate. trees behind our house scared us, certain they’d fall on us.

My sleep is all screwed up, 4 to 5 hours seems to be all I can get, I’m a 7 to 8 hours person. It’s fun game of is this: perimenopause, stress, anxiety, or some major ailment rearing up because why not.

I keep re-learning the lesson that I can not live inside my head in my own solitude. I function better when I can bounce ideas off of others. Having a few people talk me out of a tree when I’ve spiraled has given me a lot of clarity and calm. Then I read a news headline and it’s gone.
