I got a Chip Drop last year (funny enough, I don't recall any address verification whatsoever) and let me tell you, I was not prepared for the sheer amount of woodchips that arrived. My entire driveway was covered.

Guys, I cannot recommend this book enough, it is so weird and delightful. Also, the cover art is also so weird and delightful and definitely not AI (the author painted it)

Cover of A Bloomy Head by J. Winifred Butterworth

Honestly, I do not know how to describe this cover to convey how weird and charming the art is. It's a couple embracing, but the painting style is sort of folk arty?

It's definitely chaotic! There doesn't seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason, because it's also hitting older M/F tradpubs that aren't particularly spicy - last week I wanted to link back to Hard Time by Cara McKenna which is also tagged as women's fic and is 10 years old.

Today's Little Free Library find: two Harlequin Silhouettes from the late 90s. They're both single dad cowboy needs a wife books, so I'm probably not going to read them (even if "Her Torrid Temporary Marriage" is a *great* title), but I sure did get a lot of joy from finding them
