The devs are seemingly blind to or slow to respond to obvious meta issues that yeah, players would rather have it like Splatoon 2 where the meta did shift constantly because the devs did respond to the issues quickly even if they implemented the wrong solution.

The only thing that'll save this weapon is a new kit. Main weapons stats are good as is, it's just that its kits aren't valuable in a comp.

Hasn't that always been a thing with general directs? Nintendo can only pump out 1st party games so fast. I feel people view past Nintendo directs with rose-tinted glasses and remember those 1 or 2 hype announcements in directs and forget...

I just posted my thoughts in a reply to someone, but I'll say it again: this direct proves that general directs shouldn't be a thing anymore. They should be game-specific directs so that fans of each IP can consume what they want instead of being upset about what they don't want.

That's unfair to the 3rd party games. At the same time, it does feel like they do pad out the length of these directs with them. If this direct proves anything, it's that general directs should be phased out for game-specific directs.

I think Nintendo is signaling "general" directs are gone and not coming back. They disliked that fans hyped up the hell out of these directs and then received massive backlash for not delivering on something they never promised. They prefer the positive PR of a shadow drop.

I think that's fine. A lot of people were disappointed by side order and I'd like to see them tackle the idea again with more polish and wider scope. Given the release date, I think we'll get some cosmetics in Splatoon 3 to promote the game but the patch itself will be business as usual

...a console game via a capture card, the driver/software support is just not there. Capture output is very buggy. It would be doable,if there was a Activate/Deactivate button in the capture card's properties like there is in the Windows version, so you can refresh the capture card...
