We, 9 neighbors living in the California desert, watched gubernatorial candidates speak. We said the same thing at the end. Not one of these folks wants to help us. Katy Porter is our favorite among the Dems here tonight. She can not win. The 4 Republicans here all liked our Sheriff. He cannot win.

Apparently the power went out in the neighborhood a short time ago. Neighbors are showing up here so they can stay cool and use my internet. Yeah, solar power only works in daylight. Add in wind generators and I can stay energized all the time. Come on over. I won't preach too much.

Apparently, our VP has never been to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, or California, where Spanish is spoken everywhere. Nor has he spoken with military members who served overseas. My kids learned German, Swedish, Italian, and Farsi while they moved with us to different postings.

I was never anywhere that it would have been a good idea to travel back to Los Angeles for any of my High School reunions. All of my best friends died in Korea or Vietnam. Now I do go to College reunions. Those guys are my brothers in arms. Sempre Fi!
