it can be spoofed. People often share images stating there's GPS jamming when it is usually AIS spoofing. What is AIS, well the ship transmits on VHF which is short range, the type of info sent is shown in the image (not an exhaustive list)

There's the failure in the last test firing, however, that was due to test monitoring equipment that was attached to the missile causing the failure. The quote from Calvin Bailey conveys old guard thinking. Trump was asked about AUKUS in a press conference last week and he had no idea what it was.
