Ridiculous and idiotic simplification from Victoria. “Do you want to cut spending yes or no?”. The way to cut spending is to reduce the need for services and benefits by investing in prevention. Just cutting creates more needs and more costs. This has been proved to death over 45 years. #newsnight

The building of lots of new council housing isn’t just a “radical” nice to have. It’s the ONLY way we will meet our housing needs. It requires a boost to council capacity and probably a state building company. If we don’t do it we’re not serious about the housing crisis or econ growth. #bbcpm
