Apparently it was “Bring your tall wading water fowl to work Day”. We had both a great blue heron and an egret in the ponds today. I only managed to get an ok picture of the egret. I need a better camera!* The kids were convinced the egret was an albino flamingo 🤔. *phone (sigh)

Not sure of the date but family lore has it that when my Great-grandfather was in the Navy (he was a chaplain) he took a picture of the ship’s cat soon after she’d given birth to a litter of kittens. Later my Great-grandmother made a painting from the photo, which I now have. #Caturday #caturday

This is Autumn. She was born without one paw. Gets along just fine with three, but still sometimes uses a prosthetic leg when she wants to blend in. 13/10
