I do not want to name and shame the client but I am incredibly frustrated and upset by this, mostly because they went behind my back and got another past client of mine to talk to me about it instead of just coming directly to me. This is the behaviour that gets you blacklisted.

Old client messages me on behalf of the client I am talking about claiming they “never got any updates” on a commission I completed 2 years ago. I offer my contact information to pass on which the person never takes me up on.

I show evidence that I finished the commission 2 years ago, and it is in my Dropbox dated 18th August 2024 just past 5pm.

I find out the client has just outright lied to another client of mine (the person messaging me, instead of that client just coming right to me) about me not completing the work.

Luckily, I have plentiful evidence that the conversations and changes did indeed happen, and I provide their friend with the zip to resend in case the client had lost the final files and was confusing that for me not completing the piece.
