Hello Bluesky. Long time, no post. Keeping up with socials is a slog but I am endeavouring to post more. So? What have I been up to. Well after a family bereavement in September I took some time away from writing to focus on family. But I'm now pushing on with edits for The Doppelganger 1 of 2

So not much editing on my novel has happened in the last week. Instead, my focus has been on finishing a crochet project for a friend's birthday gift next week. A pixel art blanket, painstaking sewn together square by square. Cubone, her favourite pokemon, in all his glory. #crochet #handmadegift

Finished reading Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros this morning and OMG. Those last 100 pages killed me. The twists. The turns. The drama. Already have Iron Flame ready to read, but I think I need a couple of days to get over those last 100 pages first

Ros is an amazing artist. She drew Mia for me a few months ago, and now she's drawn Brandon in exchange for a honest review of her upcoming Middle Grade book - Gift of Words. This woman is talent personified and I am luck enough to call her a friend.

This week has essentially been a bit of a wash out. Was hoping to get writing done only to get a really bad eye infection that impaired my vision. Now that it's finally better, I have to start finish packing to go away tomorrow, so now there is no time to write.

Mia hasn't had a boyfriend (yet) at the start of the Doppelganger. Brandon used to be engaged, but that ended in tragedy about a year before The Doppelganger started. And Leo is a vampire, which makes dating hard in his opinion.
