Even despite that I was probably wrong to go with May the more I’ve looked at it, but Gasser doesn’t scare me any less in general and May has the experience and better stuff in my eyes. In the end I think it comes down to they should probably the reward the guy who earned it with his results tho

Yeah, but like we mentioned, almost none of what Gasser was getting results wise lined up with his process at all. It was a 1.71 ERA from that Mets start until the one on Friday but that was with a 4.81 xERA and 4.75 xFIP with limited whiff and strikeouts. Friday was much different though.

It was horrendous timing for us to record that because Gasser had by far his best start of the season later that night before it came out 😂 The more I thought about it tho I do lean Gasser atp and will talk about that this week. But I still think the odds of them performing bad or well are similar

That is exactly correct that I was wrapping that up lol I would’ve said floor before but… a 111 max EV with a 104 90th percentile is not fluky at all. He plays good defense, has a lot of speed, whiffs a bit too much right now but I see that when guys discover power strokes & they can adjust back.

It’s mainly because the expectation is that colleges don’t do this once a player is drafted and has agreed on a deal. Especially college players in the first 10 rounds. Prep is a bit different, and post round 10 it doesn’t cost the pro team any slot value if they don’t sign.

In this case, teams might be a bit hesitant to take Clemson players if they know that Clemson could come in and up their NIL offer after the player had already agreed to a deal. Player might get a bit, but most people probably understand a kid taking the best $ offer.

No Knaak signing, and Carson Hart for $380k means the most the Brewers could offer any of the 14-16 round picks remaining is $235,875. We will see if that is enough to get any of them done. My guess is that Havard is the one they might still have a shot to sign.

I wondered if the Brewers might go with Christian Coppola from St Joseph's, but they went with his teammate Andrew Gaines. The fastball can get into the upper 90s but more mid-90s. Some good carry and VAA to it. Closed games this season. 47 K in 30.2 IP. Likely another $10k senior sign candidate.

So... the Brewers drafted Chase Mora as a pitcher and I didn't even know he pitched. He hit 42 homers in his four seasons at Texas State and only threw 1.1 innings that whole time... Reportedly 95-96 on the fastball with spin characteristics. Intriguing senior sign!

Kellan Tom has shown exit velocities up to nearly 110 MPH already, and was the prep player of the year for Arizona last year. Was announced as a 1B pick, but had some interesting stuff on the mound too.
