So the ridiculous fight the Trump DOJ is picking with AAPS about trans students and FAPE is at minimum costing us more in legal fees. Closed session about legal strategy for AAPS response, no details. The resolution passes was merely about necessary steps to respond, no details. #a2schoolboard

Blergh, public #a2schoolboard comments against potential school closures and the lovely neighborhood community that forms around these schools is expected but still heartbreaking. This sucks, but unavoidable with mainly state determined revenues and needing to fairly pay teachers.

The politics of this suck, would require a plebiscite to make either course not park land. My understanding is also that would be pretty expensive to build due to lack of infrastructure to tie into. Would rather upzone and build up downtown and transit corridors with time and political resources.

The silver lining of making parking $ for having to put up with this Morgan Wallen concert at the Big House is not panning out. A $100K Expedition with 4 people just balked at $50. 🙄 We’re maybe a 15 minutes walk away. Cheap and bad taste in music!

The “rip out the bike lanes” people supporting Rabhi kill me. That’s one area where I don’t see any difference between Rabhi and Taylor. Rabhi has cited being hit by a car while bike riding and wanting safe streets. Has he said no bike lanes in front of business or something?

The whole stretch of road irritates me. No sidewalks or only on one side, a too high speed limit and the things there are: family-friendly indoor soccer space, family-friendly library, family-friendly ice skating and hockey spot, and a daycare.

Talk to Pittsfield township about that. And add “why is the Oak Valley Drive speed limit so ridiculously high?” for me. Which mayoral candidate would aggressively annex all parcels within AAPS/AADL’s borders into the city’s border is the better question.

Oh goodness, that person. I spent too long arguing with her about the fact that AAPS is under-enrolled and actually new development is good for schools and that requiring developers to build new schools is crazy. She is an AAPS teacher but lives in Ohio? Maybe why she needs a second home?

Just as the number of STR licenses is an undercount of housing units operating as an STR, the number of non-PRE is likely an undercount, IMO. Having a PRE doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t using the property as a full time STR, plenty of people lie and aren’t caught on their PRE affidavit.
