One thing I think is lost in all the national focus on Rep. Thomas Massie's primary and Trump's attack on him. His district has chronically low voter turn out, so the old adage about "all politics is local" will be especially true in Massie's primary Tuesday. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Iranian Shah, gave a campaign speech at CPAC today. The event was surprisingly moving. So much hope for Iran’s future. So much of that relying on Trump. Hard to see a happy ending.

I've been reading Jennifer Ackerman's What an Owl Knows. And then over the weekend I made a quick visit to SLC's Tracy Aviary, the nation's oldest aviary, and found this Eurasian Eagle Owl. I have no idea how it ended up here or if that's even a good idea, but it was cool to see one up close.
