And yes my foot is pretty mad (actually both are, huzzah!) I'll be just keeping up physio/sauna/infrared/ibuprofen/Oofos until my last race of the season (the WFPS Half in October). Then I'll 'rest' and by that I mean reduce mileage and keep lifting😘

I ran a half marathon yesterday at Clear Lake with a best pal, spent the weekend at a cabin with kiddos running around causing good chaos, picked up some Charles de Lint books, and went nuts for a fibreglass elk (as one does).

Oh no, you too?? It seems so common (and frankly annoying). I'm probably gonna go down the custom orthotics route too. I saw my athletic physio yesterday, and she gave me some good tips. When I'm in the off season in October it'll improve, but...in the meantime, we are foot-sads pals.

With the news about Webtoon using hosted comics for AI comic generation, I've deleted KRAMPUS IS MY BOYFRIEND! entirely off of the platform. It was really bittersweet, as I started posting on there in 2019, and that's where most of the uptick came from. But I'll post it elsewhere + keep printing it!

I know I just have to hold on a little longer, but getting a new job right when kiddo's school wraps up, heading into a 2 week break for him, and still struggling to get 15 hrs of committed work time has absolutely killed my executive function this year. I have barely been to my office. Aghhhhhhh

Stronk — deadlift, 165#. Can I hit 200 by the end of my 14week lifting program?? Just FYI this is my own weight +30lbs. When I started in January, I could barely deadlift the bar.

Dr Hubs and I lifted/moved/carried this 450lb wood shed 100’ into our yard and it felt EASY but that’s because I’ve been doing progressive overload lifting since January. Then I axed some logs. It’s nice to know there’s a practical application to strength training + EATING.

Watching neighbours across the street's hired lawn service cutting their 1/4" grass in prep for weed killer application. They had all their mature trees removed bc leaves are poison I guess.
