There’s an argument for it in games when your attacks get supernaturally destructive very quickly: ‘Steal’ retrieves fragile items before they’re obliterated along with the enemy’s organs. This suggests a gameplay compromise: steal-able items are also loot-able if no full-body nukes are used.
