as a reminder to anyone who thinks AI-assisted writing is okay: you are taking a massive risk that your "work" is unprotectable, legally. and nobody wants to buy that.

From The Dailies: "Copyright for AI-generated text is still a legal gray area, and there's a messier problem underneath: AI writing is essentially a blend of everything the model was trained on, meaning countless other copyrighted works could be baked into the manuscript. Buyers can't be sure they'd own what they're paying for, and nobody wants to bet $2.4M on IP that might turn out to be unprotectable."
