The answer to the question "What is wrong with this guy?" yields content and clicks. The answer to the question "Why does this country tolerate him?" might yield a solution.

History teachers will marvel at how this extravert stupidity effectively stole focus from Smith's unequivocal statement the president "tried to subvert the will of the people and steal the presidency" in 2020. This is weapons-grade political ventriloquism & the marks never notice they keep losing

How much of the swarm of shorts sticks in viewers' minds and what part of it sticks? How frivolous or inappropriate is the short that proceeds and the one that follows? How does it land in a full 20 minutes of 40 to 80 shorts? I can't help but think this is just shouting at cars as they speed by

Maybe the College Board realized that it can only push the passing rates so high, they need the students to help

Maybe they'll notice than banding together increases ratings - then they will be interested

Maybe, finally, this crowd in Washington can grow and stay there. Maybe this can be like what Timothy Snyder said of the Maidan, "people defending what they think is still possible: a decent future for their country.

Are these echoes of Savio's "throwing your body on the gears" to make an intolerable system stop, or the rabbis who joined the civil rights protestors in St. Augustine in 1964 because "injustice anywhere diminishes the humanity of each of us"?

Could the Kennedy Center be our Maidan? Could this be the point where enough people act on what they believe to establish a permanent physical presence defending the values which made our country exceptional? Like King and Abernathy offering their bodies as “personal witness” In Birmingham in 1963

NJ Learning Standards state that students must learn "there are legal consequences to utilizing or sharing another’s original works without permission or appropriate credit". NJ also promotes education in the "ethical use" of AI. That's sorta like using a stolen car to teach Driver's Ed.

History teachers teaching the discipline rather than the school subject can use 9/11 to show how two contradictory statements, both replete with verifiable evidence supporting them, can both be true at the same time. 9/11 both "brought the country together" and "divided the country".

How about asking the American public themselves, seems like they might have a thought about this as well. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? (crickets)

Étienne de la Boétie, Discourse of Voluntary Servitude (1576), Vaclav Havel, Power of the Powerless, (1978), Solzhenitsyn Live Not by Lies (1974). Maybe your identification of the problem has merit, but the identification of the solution may have more value. The solution is found in everyone else

US History teachers should take this recommendation and add also read Nicole Hemmer's "Partisans" to realize teaching this period is essential. It's 2026 and we still spend more time on the cotton gin than the internet

"We are accustomed to think that, in questions like the present, involving the first principles of civil liberty and the dearest rights of mankind, passionate invective, rash menace, and random exclamation, are poor substitutes for reason and argument." ~Caleb Cushing (1837)

And this is just one of dozens of schemes and strategies, both public and private, by which the party controlling the three branches of government will refuse to relinquish power no matter what happens. If this doesn't work they have a whole alphabet of plans behind Plan B
