Back in good old Blighty. On the good old M25, on a good old bus. Always amazes me that you can just sit on a plane and go to the other side of the planet, even if I have done it many many times. Also kinda bonkers that I went all the way to the US and was there less than 2 days.

Yeah! It’s all new to me. I mean not new new. But definitely something that I learnt and saw as a novel experience instead of a normal experience

Yeah. It’s a religious thing. Islam isn’t keen on music, and my parents were of that type so music or love for was highly frowned upon. We didn’t even have a cassette player or radio growing up. Even the car didn’t have a system.

Do you ever find that people kind of weaponise their taste in music? Just to sound cool or put others down? I know it’s a hipster thing to do but it’s like so prevalent. My folks hated music so we didn’t get a chance to listen to as much growing up. None really.

Very nice! We used to have a daily visitor but they caused a landslide at the back where the fence is so we had to cover that area up a bit more properly and that stopped them.

Tea is a great place to start!

Today’s hmm moment. Do gyms have a particular music subscription? I wonder as I moved gyms from Gym Group to Pure Gym and the music playlist feels remarkably similar mixed with songs I’ve never heard outside of these gyms.

Good morning. Today I wondered how Wednesday was named and apparently it is named after the God Woden. Woden was a major deity in Norse and Anglo-Saxon mythology, associated with wisdom, poetry, war, and magic. So let’s be wise, poetic and magical, but keep the wars away 🥰

Today I ate a chicken wing that had been spiced up to 1.6 million (!) on the Scoville scale. It was definitely punchy. But so tasty though. I still ate it all 😂

Just finished the Songs of Magic trilogy by S A Patrick. I initially picked it up thinking it was a kids book, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it myself. From A Darkness of Dragons to A Thunder of Monsters, they’re all brilliant!

Yeah. In my induction they gave a little training about such things and then I got a training sent to me by some company I didn’t recognise so I had to do the same. Then they were like oh yeah this is a company we use for IT training.
