Every time I come across clips of the Digimon Frontier dub I start laughing because Takuya sounds like he's one poke away from bursting a blood vessel at all times, it's so funny, I love Michael Reisz's performance. You'd never be able to tell he was also Matt, the voice is totally different.

I suppose the Digimon have a lot more details and funky geometry they can hide behind, so if you can draw them half-decently they'll be fine, but it's really noticeable that the kids are off-model. Shame really.

I will say the Digimon generally look great, it's the human characters that don't. I don't recall which animation director was leading but they were clearly a Digimon animator rather than a human one. Vritramon here looks great, but Takuya,,,,, you okay there, buddy? You need an ibuprofen?

The actual animation quality is pretty crap for a show where the only thing they had to animate was the opening, but I'll be the first to admit I giggled at some of the visuals. You guys think the designers ever resent Agunimon? It's always just...there. Like some awkward chaperone to these kids.
