Might as well post it here! A magical girl animation I've been slowly chipping at over the weekends for ages.

Wow, bluesky makes a garbled image of my aseprite exported pixelart png for some reason, I guess rip posting pixelart here? I made it with wide pixels, but that should be standard png after export, right?

Gay people, flock together! Be safer (and merrier)!

Pixelart comic, first panel shows two women waiting at the bus stop. Third woman wearing lesbian pin on her bag, comes to the stop, notices that two women are holding hands. Second panel shows she stands nearby them, smiling. The lesbian pair also smiles.

The good old "stare at the trans person" activity. Now in #pixelart!

Pixelart comic titled: "The Stare". 1st panel is displaying woman standing in a tram, one pair of gigantic eyes shoot laser beams at her face. 2nd panel has multitudes of eyes staring at her, to her displeasure. 3rd panel even more, though the eyes are now offscreen, her eyes are now also gigantic, with the same shocked expression as the staring ones.

Pixel artists! 🗣 When posting your art on here, if you don't want it completely mangled, export at 16x the original size (or a multiple of 8) because JPEG processes blocks of 8 pixels. At 16x, the artifacts are very minimal, and similar to JPEG quality of 100%, even with a quality of 20%!

Some pixel art scaled up 10x, showing the excessive JPEG artifacts introduced. JPEG quality is 80%.

Some pixel art scaled up 8x, showing the less aggressive JPEG artifacts introduced. JPEG quality is 80%.

Some pixel art scaled up 16x, showing the extremely minimal JPEG artifacts introduced. JPEG quality is 20%.

I tried something different this weekend, making a vtuber model and animating her in VNyan, which was very fun, I hyperfocused so much on this. I wish I knew a bit blender to make some additional props, maybe one day.
