Product-led growth for people and AI agents
Users now discover products through AI agents. PLG experiment: What if our apps let agents sign up and prove the product's value before a human visits?

I agree. This helps me to do a code review without moving my mouse, it’s still up to me to verify that the whole change makes sense. It's far from a revolutionary new approach - think of it as a combination of “bat” and “git add -p”.

I built a new thing: slobodan.me/hawkshaw/ I review a lot of AI-generated code, and I needed a simple terminal-based git diff review tool with keyboard navigation. So I built one (open source). hawkshaw is a focused, fullscreen, side-by-side (or inline) git review tool.

hawkshaw is a fullscreen, side-by-side terminal git review tool that walks you through unstaged changes hunk by hunk and stages the index as you decide.

You can try Competitor Tracker for free. The first 25 coins 🪙 are on the house and cover 5 competitors for 5 months (1 coin tracks 1 competitor for 1 month). Signing up and setting up the system takes just a few minutes. 👉 competitortracker.io

5️⃣ Runway, caught mid-migration to cfo_ai. The login, docs, and sales domains had already been moved. Websites often talk before the press release. The migration now seems to be finished. 🕵️

4️⃣ Okta shipped agent-to-agent connections, GA. Agents can now securely call other agents under admin policy. The identity layer for the agent economy is being poured right now. 🤖

3️⃣ Cloudchipr, the cloud cost-optimization tool, optimized the cost by doubling its own price. The Pro plan went from $445 → $890/mo. 💸

1️⃣ G-P put a public price on enterprise EOR: $599/employee/month, one plan. And they weren't alone: CoAd, OnTheClock, and Employment Hero all published payroll pricing in the same sweep. The EOR/payroll space went price-transparent in one week. 🪧

We crawl hardest on weekends, sites are quieter, snapshots are cleaner. However, the market doesn't take weekends off. We know that because we caught Runway mid-migration to cfo_ai. Here are the 5 most interesting changes we caught this weekend:

What can Competitor Tracker do? Let me show you! We watch more than 2,000 companies (and adding more daily; the goal is to have 5,000+ in a few weeks). The weekend crawl discovered 4,333 changes (1,920 are high-priority ones), peaking at 656 page changes in one hour.

Can you explain?

The best lesson while building this product: Don't use an LLM to check an LLM. They're non-deterministic, so you're just adding a second maybe. Create deterministic checks using linter and hooks instead. We even ban certain words from our site's voice in CI. My favorite banned word is "harness."

Building an AI demo is easy. Building a full product is still hard and takes weeks or months. Lav and I built our new product Competitor Tracker with a pack of AI agents (mostly hands-off, but never unsupervised). Here's the origin story: slobodan.me/posts/introd...

Building Competitor Tracker - a product origin story in the age of AI
AI made demos easy, but products are still hard. How we built Competitor Tracker with a pack of AI agents — the architecture, workflows, and lessons learned.

When the product is built for humans and agents, both humans and agents deserve a demo page. Here’s the first take on that, but I am not super happy with it: competitortracker.io/demo/ I guess the noir theme makes it a bit harder to follow, but I still like it. How clear is it?

Same intelligence, two desks it lands on
Watch the same competitive intelligence arrive two ways: a Monday dossier email for people, an MCP session for AI agents. Same case, same data, two desks.

Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 20/06/2026
That, plus the HR industry is more regulated, and users are a bit less likely to jump on new trends fast. Industries such as customer support, meeting notes, and sales engagement are almost completely changed by AI.
010
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
These are changes published on the websites of 754 products across 20 categories over the past 3 months. It looks like most products that add pure agents already offer MCPs, and the “agentic” approach (any kind) is becoming increasingly popular. This needs deeper analysis, but it was interesting.
000
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
It will be interesting to see these trends over time. This is data from a sample of 20 industries, we are slowly adding more than 100 other industries and we also need some time to gather useful data.
110
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
Based on my experience and also the data from a few people I talked to, MCP adoption is not that great. Shipping an agent is a layer on top, but it's integrated into their products, uses their tokens, and (at least in theory) requires less setup.
010
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
These charts are based on changes in the past 3 months, so I don't have the actual numbers to back this up (we have the data to get them, but it would require some serious token burning haha) - I am pretty sure the vast majority of products that build agents already offer MCPs.
210
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
💸 There are early signs that pricing is following the agent trend, with credits and usage-based models. ☠️ Some companies are doubling down on AI and quietly dropping other verticals or product lines. Too early to call it a trend, but it’s worth watching.
010
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
🤖 MCP has been around for a while, but agents seem to be overtaking it now, running ~2x ahead this quarter. Adoption is uneven but accelerating, and AI integrations are shifting quickly from a competitive advantage to a baseline expectation.
120
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
📊 1 in 4 products added or at least mentioned an MCP, an AI agent, or both in the last 3 months. 🏆 Customer Support, Workflow Automation, Sales Engagement, and AI Meeting Notes are clearly leading. HR-related industries are still lagging, though a few are starting to move.
310
Slobodan Stojanović @slobodan.me · 19/06/2026
While building and testing it, we began tracking changes across many industries, and the initial results are quite interesting. It’s been clear for a while that B2B is embracing AI. Now we have some numbers. Here’s a snapshot across 20 selected industries (754 tracked products, charts below):

A while ago, Lav and I started building a small prototype: an app that tracks your competitors and emails you the most important changes every Monday. With help from a few people, it started working about a year ago. Early users liked it, so we turned it into a product.
