Whenever there was even a tiny hint of commercial success on the horizon, Fripp would break up the band and reform them later with different members. For whatever reason, he didn’t want that.

A monster of an album. 21st Century Schizoid Man still sounds amazing.

One of my girl cats will plop herself directly on my chest with her face 2 inches from my nose. When this happens, I required to give her my full attention. Those are the rules.

Rain on the Scarecrow is my favorite, but I also think that the album Mr. Happy Go Lucky is criminally underrated - he really branched out from his typical style and came up with some fantastic tracks… stuff like The Full Catastrophe or Circling Around the Moon. Great stuff there.

Imagine trying to prompt for anything Maximum the Hormone have written! Can’t be done (and thankfully so).

Starless is an absolute masterpiece of a song, crafted to perfection.

Surprised they haven’t figured out that an independent Quebec would be invaded by Trump before the ink on the agreement had dried.

Yes, it’s a global democratic problem. The only countries that are different are the ones that don’t actually have an electorate.

Tossup between Kashmir and In the Light… but damn if Ten Years Gone isn’t right up there, too. (I can’t call it a no-skip, though, because Trampled Under Foot has just never done anything for me 🤷‍♂️)

USA has made visas more difficult to attain and more expensive. China removed visa requirements for trips of up to 90 days. They actually want people to visit.

That’s the thing… there are songs that “are me” in that they have a style and sound that I just like and respond to well. And then there are those songs where the artist completely transcends themselves and reach to a deeper level, whether it’s “my style” or not. That is the beauty of art.

And then going to a live show and having hundreds, possibly thousands of people sing along together… and realizing that all of us share in that joy and that sadness and that anger… the shared humanity that almost can’t be expressed in words. AI slop can never be that, can never cause that.

This. “Not all men” is used disingenuously in the vast majority of cases, just like when people who don’t believe any lives matter say, “all lives matter.”
