@apnews.com What in the fresh hell is this? When a local FOX NEWS station has a better understanding of how to #FourthEstate... even in passive voice it beats "well the cops said this blatant lie about someone we're not gonna name, but hey it's not like it's our job to figure out what happened..🤷‍♀️"
Picture of two video options from YouTube, side by side, with the left from the Associated Press stating "Kristi Noem says Minneapolis man approached officers with gun, reacted 'violently' " while the right from Fox 6 News Milwaukee states "Minneapolis shooting: Alex Pretti, the man killed, grew up in Wisconsin"

All monsters ARE human beings. It's important we remember that so we always know THEY are US - and our choices and their consequences matter.
An illustration of grizzled Night Watch leader Sam Vimes, from Terry Pratchett's Discworld, in scale armor and holding a cup of coffee. White text in italics is laid over with his infamous quote, "It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought about myself as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things..."

Oh, and just in case you DIDN'T think Texas wasn't constantly at the bottom of any good list, and the top of every bad one there's this horrifying visual:
a map from Unchained at Last of the number of child marriages in the United States, with circles of varying sizes representing how large the problem is. The heading is "How many children married in your state between 2000-2018?" To the right of the map is the list of the states with the actual or estimated number. A screenshot of an article is highlighted in the upper right corner stating these are "almost certainly an undercount. For example, Tennessee withheld all counts less than 10 (such as if nine 17-year-olds married 20-year-olds one year), potentially hiding thousands of additional child marriages, and Ohio randomly and irretrievably deleted data on children married before age 15 in most years". The largest number is Texas, at 41,774 followed by California at 23,588 with Florida and Nevada following at 17,274 and 17,403 respectively. The lowest, and the only one below 100, was D.C., at 77. 10 states were below 1,000.

This is why a lot of people are scared of getting officially documented as autistic and instead found openly accepting community with fellow neurodivergents. This ableist shit.
A screenshot showing two paragraphs from an article stating: "The NIH is also now in talks with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to broaden agreements governing access to their data, Bhattacharya said. In addition, a -begin highlight- new disease registry is being launched to track Americans with autism -end highlight-, which will be integrated into the data. Between 10 and 20 outside groups of researchers will be given grant funding and access to the records to produce Kennedy's autism studies. Bhattacharya did not give details on how they would be chosen, but said their selection would be "run through normal NIH processes."

While the selected researchers will be able to access and study the...

Fun is most important when the world is crashing. It reminds us what we're fighting for. Like this one! Because Easter was also 420

I cannot be the only Exvangelical who does this. Randomly a recessed propaganda song starts playing in my head (often because someone said an innocuous phrase setting it off) then realized how goddamn dirty it sounds and crack the fuck up. Today's example: Where do I go? Any others come to mind? 😈
A clip from song lyrics, with the heading "Where Do I Go Lyrics" followed by lines: (Where do I go) When I need a shelter (Where do I go) When I need a friend (Where do I go) When I need some helping (Where do I go) Back on my knees again

Citations are important, so thank you for asking to check ☺️✊ And agreed - with all the travel interstate, it's important to keep an eye on. Be safe out there!
A three panel illustration with the heading "FLU, COVID-19, MEASLES, TUBERCULOSIS... HOW ARE THESE DISEASES TRANSMITTED?" with an illustration in the first panel showing Direct Contact Route with two people next to each other, Indirect Contact Route with two people across a table. The second panel shows Deposition Route as the first person speaks to another with the label Ballistic Particles with 2m distance and lists: * direct deposition on facial mucosal surfaces (mouth, nose, eye) * semi-ballistic behavior *trajectories are governed by gravity * falls quickly after traveling a few meters * does not travel long distances. The third panel shows Inhalation Route shows smaller particles showering people from the air as the person speaks with a label Airborne Particles and lists: * enters the respiratory tract through inhalation * suspended in the air, sometimes for hours * trajectories are influenced by airflow * can cover long distances. Disclaimer at bottom states: Depending on the Pathogen, These Routes Are More Or Less Important

#AbolishICE
A realistic looking police officer and ICE agent ziptie and lead away Mary, in Abrahamic lore the mother of Jesus, whose art is more religious style with a holy aura.
