Let’s try a reverse #promosky for my followers: What do you like that I post already and what should I try to post more of? 🥳

If you need an AI bot to write and read and respond to all of your emails, your job probably doesn’t need to exist.

Oh cool! Flamigo is so fun. 🦩 Yes, how’d you guess? 😆

Hi! Do you have a favorite Pokémon? :D

Some of the best coding work I’ve done has been after waking up in the middle of the night with a solution randomly.

If everyone talks about how much they hate ads, maybe they won’t put any ads on any streamer. Wishful thinking but I can’t imagine this will work well or how they expect it to. Targeted ads never do.

Slix @slix.poliwager.net · 28/09/2026

Some pretty wispy clouds and birds flying on my walk last night.

Wispy clouds over a blue-green sky over a body of water.

Silhouettes of birds flying away over a beach.

This is after I started moving my site away from Google Ads a few weeks ago for logged in users, so it's extra silly they think something is off. Either way I can't tell what the issue is because they won't tell me!

Slix @slix.poliwager.net · 27/09/2026

The fact Google Adsense can be randomly like "we noticed something suspicious about your ads, they might have been clicked by you or something, but we won't tell you what happened. We have limited your ads for a while. Fix it!" is so annoying.

Pokémon egg breeding?!

Especially when they compare it to “better designs” like *checks notes* rats and seals. :P Vanillite is cute!

Floor time, but outside!

You can even dump Pikachu once you catch your first Rattata. :P

Slix @slix.poliwager.net · 23/09/2026

Yikes. If it was streaming for free I’d be into that (like tv used to be for everything) but paying for ads and then saying this is not my cup of tea. 😬

Do you have any guides on how to do this these days? I have an old Mac server so locally I can do iChats but it would be cool to get something set up for the wider internet maybe too.

For sure! I know what you mean. In Diamond my friends and I would train our teams to level 100 since there wasn’t a way to auto set them to 100 unless you were on wifi so I spent a lot of time in the Elite Four haha.

Slix @slix.poliwager.net · 22/09/2026

Ya know, maybe this is why I don’t mind the older games when so many think they’re tedious. I always kind of liked getting stuff leveled up and EV trained, even in the games where it wasn’t fast.

Went to a church retreat this weekend and it was rainy for most of it, but we were still able to have a hayride in the evening! I thought this long exposure photo I took looked super cool.

A blurry photo of people on a hayride in the dark, with a few lights on the tractor at the front, and the trees above it all partially lit up. Spooky!

No passcode, or do you just type it in every time?

I see every post because I mainly look at the Following feed! Hello! 👋

I’m back at this same restaurant and the radio is still doing the jittery cutting in and out thing. I refuse to believe they’ve left it like this for over 5 months. 🤪

Apparently, haha! 🫶

Best of luck on the presentation Sevara!

You’re 5’7”? The photos you share must be an optical illusion because I thought for sure you must be taller than me (I’m also 5’7”). :P

The movement mechanics in BDSP are so janky compared to DPPt because they allow for 360° movement with the joystick. I hate how easy it is to get off track when riding up and down for breeding and stuff too.

Slix @slix.poliwager.net · 17/09/2026

Calling it an MP3 and not an MP3 player is even worse. Those aren’t the same thing and the remote is neither of them!

000

Woo! What distro did you choose?

This seems like a cool idea for older computers in a “museum” style format.

The 30th anniversary set for the Pokémon TCG was announced. Like half the cards are Pikachu and the other half are just random Pokemon. I’m so glad I’m not a Pikachu fan, I probably won’t be buying any of these. :P

I don't think I've ever experienced this, haha. People are crazy for making a group chat from people from that long ago without a reason though.

Eyyy shoutout to that cool dude in the screenshot. XD It’s a neat feature, I like it!

I literally ate a single piece of cheese out of my fridge the other day and I realized how often I used to do this and how I haven’t in a long time haha. It just feels right sometimes. 😆

A photo of me holding a piece of cheese in my hand and the caption reads “it’s been a really long time since I just… had a piece of cheese like this.”

I actually watched the keynote where they announced it live and downloaded it before they were even able to distribute it to everyone’s account. I love the album. :P
