Pokemon in a nutshell p much. Can still enjoy it, but gotta remember it’s the biggest media franchise on the planet and doesn’t have to play by certain standards

xD The shinies in gen 1 I’ll give a pass bc gameboy. Gen 2 starts getting iffy w gameboy color. But IMO, thankfully shiny Espeon doesn’t reach the heights of shiny Yveltal 💀

Shiny Solgaleo and shiny Kommo-o give me that vibe lmao

There is zero reason anymore for shiny pokemon to look like ass

My province is staying on permanent daylight savings time. Given the northern climate + how dark it gets in the winter by 4/5PM, I understand. But man…my brain’s already going “oh no we’re perpetually losing an hour bc we’re remaining in ‘spring forward’ time” ^ That’s not how that works, but xD

I have a Telegram channel for comm openings pinned. Outside of Patreon, that’s where I post openings so you can get pinged.

Might have a couple sketch comm spaces open this autumn, but currently unsure. Also not sure if color or not. Currently waiting on a few ppl to see what they want, but if it doesn’t pan out by October then I’ll have to get those spaces filled. Quickly.

From June 2026's sketch comm stream on Patreon. This one was for Lane, ft. his big dragon Gideon 🐉.

Drawing on the iPad improves my art drastically. It renews my desire for a Cintiq… For anyone with a Cintiq or similar, do you use a stand or flex arm to help with neck pain from looking down at it?

In-between page?! This was meant to fit on Pg 2, right where Kodjo is walking to go get his shoes. I cut them from Pg 2 since Spit's position changed 😅 + the sketches didn't feel as clear as I wanted. Still wanted to put these somewhere though, so gave them a little bonus page. --- 🎨May 2026

This page wasn't planned as part of the original two, but after telling commissioner Lebestiaire about the concept I had for a continuation, he was ok with me doing a less polished followup to page 2! Sometimes it's fun to really put Spit through the wringer 🐀. -- 🎨May 2026

When I say One Piece, I mean my creative process is similar to how Luffy adopts new characters one by one to fill an important role for his crew. I try to do it that way, because I otherwise end up with character designs I may like, but which have no purpose in their respective universe.

050

It’s sort of a One Piece situation where I have to think of what kind of roles a paramilitary crew needs, and then I choose a species and design around that role.

Spit and Hyde have needed their universe fleshed out for a while. I have 2 supporting characters in mind to help flesh out their crew. One is a croc. Their design and characteristics I’ve been stuck on since 2022/3 😅 The other is a bobcat who’s good to go. Just need to draw her (with paws visible)
