To celebrate all the recent love for #Hoi and #MoonChild, I fired up @aseprite.org to create some new Hoi and MC pixel art, for the first time in ± 30 years. 😃💚 For the scenery, I used my tiles for the Amiga version, combined with the Windows version's mountains and night sky background.

Pixel artwork, depicting a scene from the 1990s Moon Child game, featuring the Hoi and Moon Child characters.

this collection and others in the future have a theme Although sometimes I make collections without a theme I might come up with an idea, or I might not :P Even so, hexagon creature

SlimyHoiBits 🦎 [Comms Open] @slimybits.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

This one does have a theme (I’m not revealing it yet, as I want to add more to it later and let people try to figure the theme out for themselves) However, the vast majority of collections don't have a theme So if I don't come up with anything, I might do it on one without a theme

Check out this cool Moon Child fan #art by @eemccutcheon.newgrounds.com! 🤩 It's a variation upon the cover art of The World Ends With You by Square Enix. I also love how he used an outline of my MC game title background trees in the logo. 👍 More info and images: www.newgrounds.com/art/view/eem...
