It will take a while until we get our copies of the game from the publisher... But I thought already about buying my own game somewhere :D

I posted for almost a week every day a clip, teasing the physical release of Under the Island. I'm out of ideas for what to write about the clips. So tell me, what else could I have written to promote the physical release of (write it in the comments)? However, tomorrow it's out on Switch and PS5!

I wrote a small blog post about physical game media and the Under the Island physical release. Do you think games on cartridge/disc still matter or are you already download only? Check it out and let me know your opinion. undertheisland.substack.com/p/under-the-...

luckily many indies get a physical run. Often waiting is a good option. In some rare cases I buy games twice too :)

Under The Island @slimekinggames.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I try that too. I only buy digital if no physical version is available or if it is a game with lots of updates.

Under The Island @slimekinggames.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Did they told you something specific that convinced you or just everything they said?

I haven't tried mine in a while, I hope my discs still work too.

I love Alundra and I still wonder how they made the pseudo height levels... The interesting part is, that when you cast the meteor spell, they clip into the ground like it is 3d...

depending on your region. if you tell me where you live I might be able to tell you where you can order. In general Video Games Plus does ship almost everywhere and often rather effortable.

Under The Island by @slimekinggames.bsky.social Just very charming. I very much like differently themed Zelda-esque games and this stuck with me. The island is fun to explore, the hockey stick is a solid weapon for a teen and I liked the first dungeon being a greenhouse. Out since February 2026

It looked really good on their displays. Can't wait to see what's in the arranged version. Also pretty cool that you can choose between the classic and the new version.

I post the same posts on all three platforms and threads has by far the worst likes, interaction and retweet numbers. Follower count also pretty much stagnates there.
