One thing I would love to read is a long form on guys whose careers were sliding and then they changed their offseason training. Feels like it happens to a few guys every year and it doesn’t get a lot of coverage. Wonder if that’s the case with him.

I really hope those two + Danault get a long leash. Has the look of a good third line that can win games when the top guys aren’t scoring.

So far this season Danault looks like he’s a half-step faster than he was at any point last year. Gives me a lot of hope that he and Bolduc can be a true third line duo the Habs can rely on.

A few years ago I doubled my RAM, bought a new internal SSD, and a 2 TB external. I didn’t really need any of it at the timebut had a decent DFS run and figured why not. This must be what it felt like to buy Apple stock in the 80s.

is it Tocchet or is it the players? I like Sanheim quite a bit, think Drysdale is starting to reach his potential, but the rest of that blue line is very underwhelming. They have a #2, a #4, and a bunch of #6, #7, or AHL guys. Their top two centres are both one slot too high. It's not great.

I know they had a very bad stretch in the middle of last season and still made playoffs but they had solid underlying numbers in that stretch; their goaltending was just putrid. The start to this season is not any of that.

I will shoot the Flyers some bail b/c in 13 games across the first four weeks, 10 are vs. playoff teams from last year (and one vs. NJD, who should be this year). But if they don't turn it around quick, those first 4 weeks turn into, like, a 1-9-3 stretch and the season is over before Halloween

Tweet-length review of Digger: first off, I'll say I very much enjoyed it. I think the two criticisms I'd levy are 1) it's 10 years too late and 2) self-indulgent. But I think the self-indulgence is the point, and that's why it works so well, but I get why it wouldn't be everyone's bag.
