Just finished High on Life 2, which was fun if you don't want to take anything too serious. Pretty innovated settings too, like Wyoming! I think it was at least as good as the first, but it was definitely pretty glitchy.

It's kind of bittersweet for me. Wife and I played through the first 3 couch co-op. Even did lots of horde mode in part 2. But, now with a kid and different workload, playing together is probably out of the question. Still want to play it but it won't be as fun.

Toy collector rant: We all hit a point where we have to make room and sell some old stuff, which proves to be far more difficult than one might think. You can try selling to local collectors or local online groups, but that's a very slow process and they sometimes want crazy deals. Sites like ebay..

Been months since I played Crimons Desert but I started it up out of curiosity since it's had so many patches. They reset all my skills and want me to respec. Otherwise seems the same. And I thought they also said DLC would be free, but there's a $23 expansion coming out now? I uninstalled it.

I will take polygonal birds if it meant a locked 60 fps. I'm real curious how 6 will run at this point- I'm not going to scream "30 FPS is unplayable", but I will always prefer performance over the clarity of a still image. Really kind of a shame they won't offer a good performance mode.

Schools really love arranging special before or after school events and meetings that at least one parent has to go to and kids can't attend and offer no option for your kid. Kind of like they forgot that you're going to these things because of having a child.

Gotta explain this every year- shit costs a lot of money, and a lot of holiday crafts take time. So when you see Christmas stuff on shelves a couple months early, it lets people spread the holiday costs and get started on the decorating and holiday crafts. A few months is really not long for adults.

The problem with being in your 40s and having a young kid starting a new year of school is that when they inevitably get sick from other kid germs, you don't know if you're coming down with something OR it's just the normal exhaustion and pain of being in your 40s and having a young kid.

Random Mass Effect thought: Mass Effect 2 is as perfect a game can get IMO. But one thing it had that part 3 could never have is possibilities. When you beat 2, you could only imagine how things could play out. ME3 didn't have that luxury, and as good as it was, it would never satisfy everyone.

Watched Good Fortune and thought it was pretty fun. It avoided any theological discussions, but did a decent job of showing some modern day struggles. Of course they couldn't depict the wealthy investor as horrible as they actually are in real life.

I know mode 7 wasn't exactly 3D, but the first time I played a mode 7 racing game, which I think was F-Zero, I couldn't go back to line scrolling racers. Being able to turn around and actually go backwards and feel like I was in a 3D space was pretty significant.

The SNES got Final Fight Guy that swapped Cody for Guy, but I always wished Capcom did a "Special Edition", made it 16-megs with all 3 character, added in the missing level and maybe some snes exclusive levels, and used their SNES experience to get it two players.

I know they've been heavily pushing Metroid into an action game based on parrying, but all they really need to do is show Samus getting a grapple hook or spring ball or some other power up and using it to get to a new area. THAT would hype me up. I will still get Ravenous though of course.

My initial impression of Bubsy 4D was that it's a janky but fun 3D platformer, and not bad for $20. I managed to beat it after only a few days because the game is painfully short, even for the price. After beating it you do unlock altered versions of the levels, but since they have no collectibles..

Magic tip: To open a portal to another dimension, buy a bottle of shampoo you don't like. Use it until it's almost out, then buy a bottle of stuff you do like. When you try to use up the old bad stuff, you will find a portal has opened inside the bottle to a dimension of never-ending bad shampoo.
