distinctly remember my entire crew at the time stopping mid-late in the show and the one streaming it going "guys, what the fuck happened"

ooo very exciting! i've used steam's "non-steam games" feature for this before but it's great for it to be more streamlined. how will it look in steam? i normally grab some of the promo art or dig around the game's assets to make the library page look good, idk if that's automatable

Old mockup for a screen in the game, it's come a long way since then. The assets for the new ship are nearly done, I'll be showing them off soon!
Old version of the ship in teal pixel art sketch. Man stands in front of 5 screens and a control panel with 3 seats behind him. The ship is implied to be in movement because of lines outside the windows.

never specified as far as i know. there is a line, "with the deed done, i begin to feel my age", but that could just imply that his drive to return to hallownest, in itself, kept him going. though either way he probably dies

this is the kind of thing where it's moreso funny and novel that it exists than necessary for the integrity of the game- like StP's Good Ending

gave a little myself, and will echo what other comments here say- you've already done enough, and already earned this; it's yours to do with as you see fit and you're free to work or not work as you see fit. be well 💙

the walking animation in The Planetary Archive was based off the amazing @kevinbparry.bsky.social's 100 Ways To Walk #gamedev #pixelart

a janky little pre-production version of The Planetary Archive, from late sept last year. no graphics yet, just a rectangle that could interact with other rectangles and output what was happening to the console lmao #gamedev #indiedev

hi #gamedev #indiedev- i'm sleep, and since september i've been working on a space survival game called The Planetary Archive. here, i'm going to post highlights of development so far- follow if you're interested!
A screenshot of a monochromatic pixel-art game. A white silhouette character stands aboard a spaceship, with one screen to his left and another to his right. The room is labelled as "The Bridge".

haven't heard the album bc i hate the singles. super plasticky and processed pop, no flavour

a downside to this is, if you fix something that ends up being major and run-defining, and then later release a console port, it can end up making the speedrun less accessible for console players (who might end up stuck on a version with few runs and guides)

best policy imo is to make it easy to downpatch on steam, like hollow knight does. then, you can fix whatever you like, and we can just split our boards and run whichever version we like most

funnily enough i felt this about AC:NH, which is weird because you'd think animal crossing would WANT ease and convenience. but turning every trip to the city and long conversation into a boring menu just makes the game feel... soulless?? it got boring so much faster
