To add insult to injury, the person who wrote the email firing Dr. Carla Hayden from her position as Librarian of Congress addressed her by her first name.

Text of email firing Dr. Hayden addresses her as Carla. I guess we should be glad they didn’t say “girl” but the implication is there.

Here’s the Rockingham County Republicans … I can’t even figure out where they got this figure?

Rockingham republicans insisting that there will be a 22 percent tax hike in the average taxpayer if Trump tax cuts aren’t passed

Those kids in the White House with Trump dismantling the Department of Ed were Moms for Liberty kids.

Post from Moms for Liberty : A great day for education in America! 🇺🇸
The Executive Order Signing at the White House today marks the start of a new era in education in America! Parents will be empowered and state and local communities will take charge of education instead of letting Washington bureaucrats make the decisions.
Several Moms for Liberty chapter leaders and members of the Moms for Liberty Support team along with their children joined Donald J. Trump at the White House for this historic day!

VA06 District Congressman Ben Cline posts different info on Twitter than he does on Facebook, coming up to a different crowd. Here’s he’s expressing his disregard for the judiciary and for research funding.

Text of post by Ben Cline denigrating “liberal” judges and the ruling blocking the administration change to NIH grant funding. Cline also infers those grants are going to “frivolous” DEI grants

I used this image in a presentation on evaluating information, the Confirmation Bias band at Clifftop. It reminded me I needed to address that topic, got audience attention, and I think they remembered that confirmation bias is not a band.

This book and 28 others remain banned in Rockingham County (VA) Schools. The RCPS School Board removed it and 55 other books in January 2024 based on anonymous unspecified complaints, and these 28 have not undergone any review — and yet remain banned. More info below. #bannedbooks #censorship
