Never. Jessaria would be the first to admit there's a certain catharsis in giving bastards what's theirs, but fighting HURTS.

Okay, apparently my brain's decided to switch from feeling dejected by today's Party Finder experience in favor of anger. WHY do people have to be so inconsiderate!?

Been a fan of @bibleaccuratemoth.bsky.social's work, and decided to do a comic dub of page 145 of her "Of Moths and Mina" webcomic in the spirit of spooky month!

Tank: Spellfender(functionally Paladin). If that's not allowed; Gunbreaker. DPS: Dancer. Healer: Summoner(namely Demi-Phoenix). If that's not allowed; Sage.

The quests reveal that village's transformed state is starting to spread, and only Life Mages can syphon the mutative aether fueling it. The Job Mentor refuses to go, terrified of doing more harm than good, but in the end, it takes both Life Mages to save the Shroud.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

She too came upon a Soul Crystal by accident, but unlike the WoL, she had no mentor, no idea what she had become, and her village paid the price.

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

This is the job mentor, who explains what Life Magic is and how unstable it can be. She reveals herself to be a hermit, hiding away from anyone she might hurt with her magic.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Goal? Recon, take out any 'corrupted kin.' The WoL finds a Life Mage Soul Crystal. In a flash of green, they black out. When they wake up, they're inside a tree and being tended to by a mysterious, hooded mage.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Job Quest Idea: Starts in Gridania, with talk of something dangerous needing to be dealt with. The authorities seem hesitant to elaborate, but the WoL takes the job and is sent to a still swampy area in the Shroud.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Their goal? To END the War of the Magi, by any means necessary. Few Life Mages survived the war, their unstable magics having torn them apart, and it is said even being near the Soul Crystal of a Life Mage is dangerous, lest you find yourself the latest host of the Chimeric Plague.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

During the War of the Magi, mages on all sides were horrifically injured, and many had to get... Creative, when it came to survival. Life Magic is the result of that creativity, shared among abandoned survivors of desolate battlefields. Life Mages may have had their own faction in the conflict.

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Healer: ...Life Mage. The body horror job. Have you read Comic Aurora? It's basically a compromise between the abilities of Alinua and the Collector. Weapon: Singular knives. Lore:

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Caster: Spellweaver. Draws power from tattoos that can appear on Jessaria's body when the respective Soul Crystal's equipped. Lore: ???

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Physical Ranged DPS: Orbitar, a more offensive oriented version of Sage. Lore: Learned from Azem.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Melee DPS: Kickstriker. Uses boots with blades running up them. Fights with momentum, but has difficulty with Puddle Hells because of constant movement. Lore: Not a clue.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Only brainstorming, but bear with me. Tank: Spellfender, easy. Half-curved blades with knuckle guards and a cloud of aether swirling around free wrist. Origin: Self Taught, a discipline Jessaria invented behind the scenes, inspired by Paladin's Shield Lob, Arcanist's runes, and Dancer's everything

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

#wolquestion What are some jobs your WoL has that aren't playable(if ever)? Bonus points if you've got one for each Role.

020

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

After him? Gridania. Jessaria doesn't have a clue how to fight the Elementals, but at the very least she's going to look for a way to lecture them.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Now I'm imagining Jessaria going off the deep end and trying to assassinate Lolorito. She can't do that in her world cause of his leverage over her, but here? She's a complete stranger.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Assuming it's about the reckless potential quantum genocide thing, in my defense I had only played Shadowbringers like, I think half a year ago.

Sophia, a little girl in generic white robes, originating from 8th Umbral Calamity timeline. Her goal? Make the Warrior of Light MISERABLE. And Sisyphus or however that's spelled, an Ascian motivated by spite. If the Ascians can't have the world their way, then no one can.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Jessaria's a midlander and doesn't have a tail. Y'shtola disagrees and is kind of concerned. That tail wasn't there before Heavensward, and apparently no one else knows its there.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I imagine the Scions might try to find and help Jessaria, but how would they react to her actively avoiding them? Oh, good luck avoiding everyone you ever knew, girl...

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I cannot imagine Jessaria ever making an Only Fans. She's a disaster lesbian with all the shame in the world.

010

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Partially relieved, no longer having to fight, but mostly terrified and guilt ridden. She'd effectively have been reverted to the [Ableist Slur because Internalized Trauma] she was before awakening the Echo, and she didn't see herself living much longer back then.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Gunbreaker, and it'll probably change sometime after 8.0. Candidates: Viper Bastion Sage(absolutely not a Main Job, just replacing Phoenix Summoner for Healer Rolequests) And depending on the glams and new custom animations thing that's being added: my fanon job; Spellfender.

010

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Jessaria loves her creature comforts, but she can technically adapt pretty quickly too. Home or away, her sleep schedule for example is the same. She... Just has the energy of a sad meow meow when camping in the wild, trying to imagine comforts in place of their absence, to debatable success.

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Both Jessarias would be miserable. One's stuck working with a detransitioned version of herself and the other's patience with HRT has been completely undone.

Last night, I think I dreamed of Samus kissing me. There was a lot more context including both a dystopia AND apocalypse to focus on averting and I think that's the only reason I didn't wake up from broken suspension of disbelief. Why on EVERYWHERE would THE Samus Aran kiss me!?

000

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

In Solution 9, Jessaria challenges Alisaie to a Red Mage duel. If Alisaie wins, Jessaria will go along with whatever it is the Scions want with her. If Jessaria wins, her not-niece leaves her to rot. The fight ends in a draw.

101

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Ultimately, Jessaria would become a wanderer. Destination; away from the Scions because one way or another they keep finding her!

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Jessaria's devastated. Everyone she's ever cared about now looks at her and sees a stranger. Even if Krile or Fordola could verify her claims, she's not staying with the Scions. She can't, her family not recognizing her would be too painful. The Scions disagree.

100

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I'm now imagining Krile's echo verifying Jessaria's claims, but before she can do anything to resolve the situation, Jessaria flees from the Scions because these people aren't her family and she's trapped here and alone and can never go home again.

Jess/good girl🏳️‍⚧️💜🧡🤍 @slateoffate.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

#wolquestion time for something potentially more upsetting; your wol seemingly wakes up in Revenant's Toll, but no one, not even the Scions, recognize them, instead claiming the Midlander Poster Boy is the Warrior of Light. How does your wol deal with the situation, unable to return home?

Do you ever wonder if Estinian would make a better Azem? The station is called the Traveler, after all, and his reason for being in Dawntrail is pure whim. The WoL meanwhile is the opposite, always reacting and never acting.
