Yeah, sounds exactly like what I was worried about. Manhunter's 80s look is iconic, why would anyone fuck with that??

Stephen Lambrechts @slambrechts.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I'm a little worried about what's going to be changed. Granted, I haven't seen the new final cut of Manhunter, but reports of the colour grade being "modernised" and changes to dialogue make me a little wary. I adore the current director's cut of Miami Vice — I wish I could see that remastered.

This pic is actually pretty old, but good indication of our movie collection

Just one reason I never gave up on physical media.

You should watch it. You'd probably like it. It's a wild, wild show.

"For the record" I see what you did there

Crazy to think that Tangerine Dream received the 'Worst Musical Score' Razzie for this movie. No taste whatsoever.

Saw the preview screening last week, not surprised at all it's gonna flop. I love Bong Joon-ho, have ever since Memories of Murder. But this film is a mess.

Seems like signing up to Club Grayskull was a good idea after all! Now bring on Laser Power He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor!

Nah, it has this low contrast look throughout all the night scenes (and even some day scenes). Seems to be Marvel's style these days.

I wish they were original Mortal Kombat instead of Mortal Kombat II

Hey Dan, any chance you can get some footage of the Loyal Subjects booth? Specifically My Pet Monster and Popples? No one seems to be covering them on YouTube

Gotta say, the leather-inspired texture on the new 4K edition of Cruising from @arrowvideo.bsky.social is *chef's kiss*

Our Toxic Crusaders toy collection has gotten so rad. @lloydkaufman.bsky.social would be proud. Still need to track down more accessories and a couple more vehicles, though.

Immediately purchased, along with Sliver!

Haha sorry, what I meant to say is *only* gets released on regular Blu. Sick of seeing 4K restorations downgraded.

What are the odds it gets released on a regular Blu-ray?

I've always liked Salvation! It was held back by its budget for the most part. At least it had a killer soundtrack and an interesting "wrongful conviction" angle. I also found Eric Mabius really likeable, even if he had clunky dialogue to work with.

Stephen Lambrechts @slambrechts.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

It's definitely the most cringe-inducing of the franchise, but at least it isn't as boring as the remake.

So I've found the one aspect of generative AI that I don't hate: background replacements in toy photography
