Finally finished this Abraham Lincoln that I meant to have completed by 4th of July. I also fell out of love with the design as I was doing it, so left off some of the elements. Maybe after washing, ironing and framing it I’ll feel better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My paperwork from the dealer indicates my car comes from Montana, where there are no laws whatsoever, to Kentucky, where we legislate the most important things—window tinting and women’s bodies. My windows are above some percentage that I did not pay attention to because I don’t care.

So I drove all the way over to the County Clerk’s office (10 miles!) and was unable to get a permanent license plate for my new car. The sheriff told me I hadta remove all the tinting on my windows before I could register.

In which my child discovers he was conceived and raised by nerds. Last month, they asked for, and I sent, my copy of Bill Bryson’s book A Short History of Nearly Everything. Which, based on the tickets they found in the book, I was apparently reading when my mother-in-law passed away in 2004.
